Parametrial endometriosis

Endometriosis foci infiltrate deeply (more than 5 millimeters) the tissues laterally (right and left) to the uterus. They may cause difficulty in emptying the bladder and/or narrowing of the ureter, which crosses this anatomical area. It is a surgically challenging location of deep endometriosis.
