Infertility and Endometriosis

Infertility is common in cases of endometriosis. This can be due to many factors, such as the negative impact of endometriosis on ovarian reserve, chronic inflammation due to the disease per se, as well as distortion of normal anatomy. Although spontaneous conception is not impossible in cases of endometriosis, there is an increased chance that you will need some to get pregnant.
We offer specialized surgical treatment (laparoscopy), which can significantly increase the chances of spontaneous conception. We apply the most innovative approaches and medical technologies (e.g. Laser) to treat endometriosis, minimizing the risk of ovarian injury. We also offer counseling for cryopreservation and medically assisted reproduction, when necessary.
We also offer laparoscopic surgery in cases of “unexplained” infertility, since it is known that in many of these cases, superficial endometriosis is present and responsible for the infertility.
We often combine laparoscopy with hysteroscopy, which allows us to simultaneously assess the inner lining of the uterus (endometrium) and rule out the possibility of endometrial polyps or endometrial adhesions.
Talk to us if you suffer from endometriosis and you are trying to get pregnant or you have been told you have ‘’unexplained’’ infertility. We would be delighted to help!
